Wimbledon 2008

I had the honor of going to Wimbledon this year and catching up with coach Annacone. Paul has been a friend of the family and he was so gracious to get us tickets and meet up during the tournament. Paul has been a great mentor and above all a class act. He is the Director of the Lawn and Tennis Association in London. Paul was also a top 20 player on the ATP and currently coaches Roger Federer.

Spadea in Vegas

Today I enjoyed a nice hit with Vince Spadea in Las Vegas. Vince was top 20 in the world and was a member of the US Olympic team. He has wins over Agassi, Nadal, Federer, Sampras, Chang, and Roddick. I met Vince through my coach Sam who traveled with Vince on tour. I became a hitting partner to Vince when I was gearing up to start playing on the tour years back. Today we enjoyed a nice hit then went to the UFC fights and out on the town. Here is a picture of us out on the town in Las Vegas.

Training at the Spanish Tennis Federation 2004

In the summer of 2004 I had the privilege of training in Madrid, Spain at the Federacion Real Madrid de Tenis. Won of the many great players I trained with was Nicolas Massu after he won the Olympic Gold Medal in Athens, Greece in Singles and Doubles. Nicolas was the first Chilean ever to win Olympic gold and he pulled off amazing wins beating Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal in the Olympics. Here is a highlight video of the Gold Medal match. Click on read more to view a picture of us on the courts after training. It was an honor to train with him during this amazing time. I am even more honored to consider him a friend. Training with the Spanish Tennis Federation opened my eyes to alot of things as a player and the experience has helped me even more as a coach.
